Returns + Exchanges

Return Policy

Hansel from Basel is happy to offer a refund or store credit for any order placed in our online store. To return one or more items from an order, all of the following conditions must be met

  • The return must be requested within 14 calendar days of the delivery date.
  • The item must be in its original, unused, unaltered and unwashed condition.
  • The item must be returned with the tags and packaging in their original condition.
  • The hang tag must remain stitched to the product for eligible return.

Please note: FINAL SALE items are not eligible for return.

We reserve the right to reject any returns/exchanges that do not comply with the conditions stated above. Unapproved or unauthorized returns will be sent back to you at your expense and a refund will not be granted.

Refunds

Only full priced merchandise (items not purchased with a promo code) is eligible for a refund. For your convenience, a return shipping label will be provided and the cost of the label will be deducted from your refund. After the returned merchandise has been quality checked and approved, a refund will be issued to the original method of payment. Please note that it can take up to 5-10 business days from receipt to process returned items, subject to its compliance with our Return Policy. It may take your financial institution additional time to process the transaction and update your bank statement.

Store Credit

Both full priced merchandise and merchandise purchased with a promo code (other than the Welcome Discount) is eligible for store credit. Returns for store credit receive complimentary return shipping labels. Once your return has begun tracking, store credit will be issued as a gift card emailed to you.

Exchange

Legwear + Accessories - Hansel from Basel does not process direct exchanges on legwear or accessories. Please return the merchandise for refund or store credit and place a new order for the preferred item(s).

Clothing - Clothing may be exchanged for a different size of the same style. A complimentary return label will be provided when your exchange has been approved. Once your return has been received, your exchange order will be shipped. Please note: we can only ship to the shipping address on the original order.

Damage

Items that were received damaged are eligible for a replacement (if stock available) or store credit. You will be asked to provide photos of the damage when submitting a request. Any damage incurred from removal of hangtags is the responsibility of the buyer and will not be replaced.

International Returns

Customers outside the United States are responsible for covering the cost of return shipments and coordinating the return with their local post.

Please ship returning international packages with your country/region’s local shipping carrier and be sure to use standard shipping. For added safety, please insure all packages and obtain a tracking number.

Hansel from Basel will not refund international duties and taxes. For more information on reclaiming international duties and taxes, please contact your local customs bureau.

Hang Tag Removal

We recommend taking care and using sharp, pointed scissors to remove hang tags. Damage may occur if hang tags are pulled or torn off. Any item(s) with damage (i.e. hole, snag, tear, pull or stretch) due to improper hang tag removal are not eligible for refund or replacement.

Order Changes and Cancellations

Hansel from Basel is not able to alter or cancel orders once they have been placed. Refused packages are subject to a restocking fee.
