Wholesale & Brand Manager

Job Description:

Hansel from Basel is a creative company based in Los Angeles, CA making discerning and thoughtful legwear + clothing for women, men, and children. We’re looking for a motivated, goal-oriented, intelligent, and creative thinker to lead our Wholesale department while also providing wholehearted marketing support to share and grow the Hansel from Basel brand.

Our Wholesale & Brand Manager is a key member of our team and requires strong communication skills and wholesale connections, organizational skills, a willingness to think “outside of the box”, and embrace a proactive “will do/can do” spirit. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a tightly knit creative and collaborative team as well as to focus primarily on a single brand to nurture and grow.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Be the face of Hansel from Basel as you represent our company to wholesale accounts, strong ability to communicate brand vision
  • Account maintenance – use foresight and proactivity to provide the most thoughtful and personal level of service to wholesale accounts
  • Deepen current account relationships
  • Identify new opportunities for prospective and new accounts, as well as sales channels – includes research and understanding of current market trends
  • Think creatively to optimize wholesale account growth
  • Develop sales strategies and goals, and maintain accurate reporting to track progress and conversion rates
  • Actively ensure brand standards are met for all sales materials and portals
  • Ability to analyze sell-through reports to assist creative director in merchandizing collections
  • Communicate regularly with our operations and warehouse to help maintain up to date inventory
  • Maintain and develop our in house showroom space to create an inviting and on brand experience for sales appointments


  • Must approach sales as a creative position
  • Prior wholesale management experience preferred (3+ years)
  • College degree with relevant experience
  • Must have attention to detail and interest in visual merchandising and presentation
  • Ability to effectively self manage and work autonomously while being communicative with the team
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills within a team environment
  • Excellent and persuasive presentation skills
  • Whip smart, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Solution oriented and delights in problem solving
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about the industry
  • Eagerly take on responsibilities with a sense of personal ownership
  • Seasonal travel required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office + Excel spreadsheets, working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
